Haven Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Haven ("the App"), provided by Hephaestus Soft LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use Haven.
2. Age Requirement & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use Haven. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
3. Important Clinical & Crisis Disclaimer
Haven is not a healthcare provider, clinical psychological treatment, licensed therapy, or medical device. The AI companion, guided reflections, and readiness tools are provided strictly for emotional self-care and personal reflection.
Haven is not equipped to handle medical emergencies or acute psychiatric crises. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm impulses, or severe psychological distress, please immediately contact emergency services (e.g., dial 911 or call/text 988 in the US/Canada, 116 123 in the UK) or consult a licensed healthcare professional. Crisis resources within the app are available offline, free forever, and without paywalls.
4. Sanctuary Subscriptions & Purchases
Haven offers premium access ("Sanctuary") through Apple App Store and Google Play In-App Purchases:
- Sanctuary Monthly: Auto-renewing subscription billed monthly. Includes a 5-day trial period for new subscribers. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle. You may manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
- 90-Day Sprint: A one-time, non-renewing purchase granting 90 days of full Sanctuary access. There are no recurring fees or automatic renewals associated with the 90-Day Sprint.
Refunds: All purchases are processed and billed by the respective app store platform (Apple or Google). Refund requests are subject to the policies of Apple and Google.
5. Local-First Data & User Privacy
Haven employs a strict local-first architecture. Your journal entries, voice memos, letters, anchor contacts, and SOS logs remain stored exclusively on your device. You are solely responsible for backing up or exporting your personal archives. You may permanently delete all local and server account records at any time using the in-app Purge feature. 6. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use
Haven, its original design, copy, branding, and proprietary software are owned by Hephaestus Soft LLC. You agree not to decompile, reverse engineer, resell, or distribute the App, or use the App in violation of any applicable laws.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hephaestus Soft LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
