Haven Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Haven ("the App"), provided by Hephaestus Soft LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use Haven.
2. Age Requirement & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use Haven. Haven is not intended for anyone under 18. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
3. Important Clinical & Crisis Disclaimer
Haven is not a healthcare provider, clinical psychological treatment, licensed therapy, or medical device. The AI companion, guided reflections, and readiness tools are provided strictly for emotional self-care and personal reflection.
Haven is not equipped to handle medical emergencies or acute psychiatric crises. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm impulses, or severe psychological distress, please immediately contact emergency services (e.g., dial 911 or call/text 988 in the US, 988 in Canada, or 116 123 in the UK and Ireland) or consult a licensed healthcare professional. Haven's in-app Crisis resources list country-specific hotlines for the countries where the App is offered, and are free and never paywalled. The AI companion is an AI, not a person, and is not a substitute for professional care.
4. Sanctuary Subscriptions & Purchases
Haven offers premium access ("Sanctuary") through Apple App Store and Google Play In-App Purchases:
- Monthly Sanctuary: Auto-renewing subscription billed as $24.99 every month. Eligible new subscribers get a 7-day free trial; eligibility (including for returning customers) is determined by the app store and shown on the purchase screen before you buy. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period. You may manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
- 90-Day Sprint: An auto-renewing subscription billed as $50.00 every 3 months, providing continuous Sanctuary access for the duration of each 3-month term. It renews automatically under the same rules as Monthly Sanctuary until cancelled; there is no one-time purchase option.
Refunds: All purchases are processed and billed by the respective app store platform (Apple or Google). Refund requests are subject to the policies of Apple and Google. Payment is charged to your Apple Account (or Google Play account) at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of any free trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
5. Local-First Data & User Privacy
Haven employs a strict local-first architecture. Your journal entries, voice memos, letters, anchor contacts, and SOS logs remain stored exclusively on your device. You are solely responsible for backing up or exporting your personal archives. You may permanently delete all local and server account records at any time using the in-app Purge feature. 6. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use
Haven, its original design, copy, branding, and proprietary software are owned by Hephaestus Soft LLC. You agree not to decompile, reverse engineer, resell, or distribute the App, or use the App in violation of any applicable laws.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hephaestus Soft LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
